ProCure, founded in 2005, is the market leader in developing and operating proton therapy centers and a network of centers, with two open and treating patients, two under construction and others in development.

Proton therapy is an advanced form of radiation treatment and an important alternative to standard X-ray radiation for many patients with cancer and for some non-cancerous tumors. Currently available at only nine centers in the United States, proton therapy has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of a broad range of tumor types including brain, central nervous system, gastrointestinal, head and neck, lung and prostate as well as sarcomas and many pediatric cancers.

The precision of proton therapy makes it especially effective for treating children and adults with anatomically complex tumors, such as those at the base of the skull and along the spinal cord. Patients who receive proton therapy generally experience fewer side effects compared to those who undergo traditional X-ray radiation treatment.
