Morning Activity: WonderLab Museum of Health, Science, & Technology (308 W. 4th)—Named by Parents magazine as a top 25 science center in the country. WonderLab has two floors of hands-on exhibits appropriate for visitors of all ages.
Walk on the B-Line Trail: come visit the B-Line Trail, the most significant economic development project on the City’s agenda. With an array of public art pieces, including its signature limestone sculpture Bloomington Banquet, the B-Line is the very best way to get across the downtown, enjoy Bloomington’s artistic sensibility and experience the community’s natural beauty.
Lunch: Samira’s Restaurant (100 W. 6th)—Home of fine Afghanistan cuisine, including kebabs, vegetarian dishes, rack of lamb and more. Try the lunchtime buffet for a full gamut of delicious and unique cuisine.
Afternoon Activity: Tour the Indiana University campus—See for yourself why Thomas Gaines named IU one of the most beautiful college campuses in The Campus as a Work of Art. IU has 1,933 acres of flowers, trees, and green spaces, and Gothic buildings built with Indiana limestone. Start at Sample Gates, wander through Dunn Woods, and find your way to the arboretum. Or just sign up for a tour.
Dinner: Max’s Place (108 W. 6th)—Try the pizza that Macolm Abrams, Editor and Publisher of Bloom magazine and long-time New York resident, describes as the best pizza he’s ever eaten. Most nights, Max’s Place features local musicians and almost never a cover charge.
Evening Activity: Watch a live performance—With over 16 live music venues and 10 performance theatres, with little effort you will find world-class entertainment.
